Dental Implants (Single & Multiple)
An implant replaces a missing tooth root with a titanium post. Once it integrates with the bone, a crown, bridge, or denture can be attached for a stable, long-term replacement.
Oral surgery procedures at Hill Top Dental Group, including dental implant treatment, are performed by our general dentist team. Our dentists are not licensed specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Some cases may be referred when that is the safer option.
When implants are considered
Implants can replace one tooth, several teeth, or support a full arch restoration. They are often discussed after an extraction, when a denture feels unstable, or when a patient wants a fixed option instead of a removable partial.
Bone volume, gum health, medical history, and bite all affect whether implant placement is appropriate. Imaging, including 3D scans when indicated, helps us plan the position of each post.

Assessment
We examine the site, review medical history, and use imaging to confirm there is enough bone and space for an implant.
Placement
The implant post is placed in the jaw under local anesthetic. Comfort options, including sedation when appropriate, are discussed beforehand.
Healing
The implant integrates with the bone over a healing period. A temporary tooth may be used in some visible sites while that happens.
Restoration
Once stable, a custom crown, bridge, or denture is attached. Those prosthetic options are covered under implant-supported restorations.
After the implant is placed
The surgical step and the final tooth are related but not the same service. Placement is the oral surgery portion. The crown, bridge, or denture that sits on the implant is planned as implant-supported restorations.
If a tooth still needs to be removed first, see our extractions page. We will outline timing so replacement can be planned rather than left as an open space.
