Orthodontics
The SureSmile® Process
Treatment is planned digitally, then carried out with a sequence of clear trays and regular check-ins at our Prince Albert clinic.
Orthodontic services at Hill Top Dental Group are provided by our general dentist team as a GP Provider (OAP). Our dentists are not licensed specialists in orthodontics.
Step by step
Exam and records
We review your teeth, gums, and bite, then take photos and a digital scan. X-rays are included when they are needed to plan safely.
Digital treatment plan
The scan is used to map each stage of tooth movement. You will see the intended end position before trays are ordered.
Aligner wear
You wear each tray as directed, usually most of the day and night, removing them only to eat, drink anything other than water, and clean your teeth.
Progress checks
Follow-up visits confirm the teeth are tracking. Attachments, refinements, or a new scan may be added if a tooth is not moving as planned.
Retention
When the active series is complete, retainers help keep the new alignment. We will outline wear time and replacement before treatment ends.
What you do at home
Aligners only work when they are worn consistently. Plan to keep trays in except for meals and oral hygiene. Rinse them when you remove them, brush your teeth before putting a tray back in, and bring your current set to every visit.
If a tray cracks, feels unusually loose, or a tooth is sore beyond expected pressure, call us so we can adjust the plan. Details of the overall offering are on the SureSmile® orthodontics page.
